engross : 몰두하게 만들다
hold the complete interest or attention

engrossing : 마음을 사로잡는, 전념(몰두)케 하는
absorbing all one's attention or interest

ex. I spent most of my time with being self-engrossed just for my own development and growth.

단지 개발과 성장을 위해서 대부분의 시간을 스스로에게 몰두하는데 할애했죠.

I engrossed myself in building muscles for many months.

몇달동안 저는 근육을 키우는 것에 몰두했습니다.

He probably got engrossed in dating with her.

그는 분명 그녀랑 데이트하느라 정신 없을 거예요.

I was engrossed in thoughts how to get over this feeling.

nothing short of : 거의 -이나 마찬가지인 / -이나 다름없는
used when you are saying that something is almost true, or is equal to something

ex. My recovery was nothing short of a miracle.

attractive and interesting in a way that holds your attention
captivating
engrossing
