: 별로인, 구린
: (변명, 해명 등이)설득력이 없는, 믿기 힘든, 변변찮은
bad, not cool, of poor quality

ex. That movie was so lame.

: 술이 잔뜩 취한
really drunk
: 돈이 많은, 아주 부유한
very rich

ex. You were so loaded at the party last night.

너 어젯밤 파티에서 잔뜩 취했어.

그는 틀림없이 돈이 넘쳐날거야.

Your boyfriend was loaded with alcohol.

let (someone) have it
: -에게 (말이나 신체적인) 공격을 가하다(-에게 한바탕 해대다)
to attack someone with force
* 주로 언어공격으로 사용되는 표현이지만,
신체적인 공격으로도 사용가능하다.

ex. I'm gonna let the children have it because they stole my wallet.

그 아이들이 내 지갑을 훔쳤으니 난 그들을 따끔하게 혼낼거야.

When my brother told me he broke my cell phone, I totally let him have it. He's scared of me now.

오빠가 내 핸드폰을 망가뜨렸다고 말했을 때 나는 아주 화가 나서 한바탕 했지 . 그는 지금 나를 무서워해.

When she got home on 3am, her fahter let her have it.

: 운이 좋다

let (something) slide
: -을 되어가는 대로 내버려두다, -을 무시하다(눈감아주다)
to not worry or get angry about something

ex. Let's let it slide for now.

이 문제는 일단 넘어가자.

I'll let you slide this time but no mercy next month.

이번은 봐주겠지만, 다음 달에는 절대 안됩니다.

I wish they'd let it slide.

난 그들이 눈감아 주길 바래.

leave (someone) hanging
: -을 대답을 기다리도록 내버려 두다
to keep someone waiting for information, a response or decision

ex. I can't believe he left you hanging yesterday. He knew you needed help.

그가 어제 너를 내버려뒀다는게 믿기지가 않아. 너가 도움이 필요한 걸 알았잖아.

I really wanted that job but they left me haning for two months after the interview and I accepted another one in the end.

나는 정말로 그 일을 원했지만 그들은 면접 후에 두달동안 나를 기다리게 했고 끝내 난 다른 일을 하게 됬지.
