take a shine to : -에 (홀딱) 반하다
smitten
begin to like (sb or sth)

ex. Taking a shine to something triggers various emotional reactions.

무언가에 반한다는 건 다채로운 감정적 반응을 유발합니다.

I can't wrap my head around it why you took a shine to me btw.

그런데 왜 저에게 반했는지 이해할 수가 없습니다.

I've almost fell into the sea cuz I took a shine to the shimmering waters.

일렁이는 물결에 반한 탓에 바다 속으로 뛰어들뻔 했으니까요.

be set in stone : 확정되다, 정해지다
be fixed, be unable to be changed

ex. I can't predict the future but I've got my plan set in stone ten years ago with plan B, C, and even D.

미래를 예측할 순 없지만 10년전에 세운 저만이 플랜이 있습니다. 플랜 B, C, 심지어 D까지 말이죠.

Nothing can be set in stone but I'll make it reality with my own way though something unexpected always pops up.

모든 것이 고정불변일 순 없겠지만, 예기치 못한 일들이 늘 발생할지라도 전, 저만의 방식으로 계획을 실현시킬 겁니다(:

And now, getting a scholarship in the Emily Carr University was set in stone ,which is just the beginning towards my dream.

그리고 현재, 에밀리카 대학에서 장학금을 받은 것은 확정된 일입니다. 제 꿈으로 향하는 시작에 불과하지만요.

dawn on : -가 깨닫게 되다, 알게되다, -에게 분명해지다
begin to be understood or realized by (someone) for the first time

ex. When did it dawn on you that you are not a human?

인간이 아니라는 사실은 언제 알게 된거죠?

It suddenly dawned on me that I love you.

당신을 사랑한다는 걸 갑자기 알게 되었어요.

It will dawn on you that your hard work and effort bring what you want down the road. Believe me unless you believe yourself.

당신의 노력과 수고가 미래에 당신이 원하는 것을 가져온다는 걸 깨닫게 될겁니다. 스스로를 믿지 못하겠다면 저를 믿으세요.
