inhibited / uninhibited / sullen

 

These examples are written by me.

In other words, it could sound weird a bit.

or maybe a lot.

 

inhibited : (감정 표현을)거리끼는(어색해하는)
unable to express thoughts and feelings freely

 

ex. She's been withrdawn and inhibited since the accident.

그 사고 이후로 그녀는 내성적이며, 감정을 나타내지 못합니다.

Talking about marriage is what makes me inhibited.

결혼에 대해 얘기하는 것은 저를 어색하게 합니다.

I wish I could be up front and honest with you, but I was inhibited completely against my will.

당신에게 솔직해지고 싶었는데, 제 뜻과는 다르게 감정에 솔직하지 못했죠.

 

 

 

uninhibited : (행동, 의사 표현 등에) 아무 제약을 받지 않는(거리낌이 없는)
able to express thoughts and feelings freely, not inhibited

 

ex. I like her pure, uninhibited, and chipper character.

저는 그녀의 순수하고 거리낌이 없으며 명랑한 성격이 좋아요.

The moments I was with you was full of uninhibited pleasure which I've never tasted before.

당신과 함께했던 순간들은 아무런 제약을 받지 않는 기쁨으로 가득 찼어요. 이전에는 단 한 번도 맛보지 못했던 즐거움이죠.

What we really need right now is a leader who can be uninhibited with a great drive and acute judgements.

현재 저희가 정말로 필요한 것은 추진력과 예리한 판단력을 갖춘 거리낌 없는 리더입니다.

 

 

 

sullen : 뚱한, 시무룩한 / (문예체)음침한, 침울한
used to describe an agry or unhappy person who does not want to talk, smile, etc gray and dark

 

ex. His sullen expressions made me crack up.

그의 시무룩한 표정은 저를 박장대소하게 만들었습니다.

Why are you looking at me with sullen look?

왜 우거지상으로 저를 쳐다보고 있는 거죠?

Dancing on the street, no one else around in this sullen weather is my cup of tea.

우중충한 날씨에 아무도 없는 거리에서 춤 추는 것은 제 취향입니다.
